Dmitry Rogozin, General Director of the State Corporation Roscosmos, on December 19, 2020, paid a working visit to the branch of the State Space Research and Production Center named after M.V. Khrunicheva – Production Association “Polet” (Omsk, part of the State Corporation “Roscosmos”). During the inspection of the enterprise, Dmitry Rogozin was accompanied by First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region Valery Boyko, General Director of the State Research and Production Center named after M.V. Khrunicheva Alexey Varochko, head of the Khrunichev Center branch – director of PO “Polet” Viktor Shuliko and others.
In particular, the delegation inspected the construction site as part of the reconstruction and technical re-equipment of the second stage of PO “Flight”, the progress of the reconstruction of external communications of production and auxiliary areas, where technological equipment for the serial production of carrier rockets of the “Angara” family will be concentrated.
In the workshop for the final assembly of carrier rockets, the delegation examined the rocket blocks of the third heavy-class flight missile “Angara-A5”, the components of the rocket blocks of the fourth “Angara-A5” and the carrier rocket “Angara-1.2”, as well as the control and test station for the rocket “Angara-1.2”, section for pneumatic testing of block “O”, section for pneumatic testing of the tail equipped compartment, as well as section for pneumatic testing of rocket blocks.
In the tank manufacturing shop, a small finishing area, welding and assembly areas were examined. Particular attention was paid to the construction of two power foundations for the installation of new machines, which will allow processing large-sized parts for Angara-A5 launch vehicles, making this work more productive.
During the visit, Dmitry Rogozin also met with the staff of the enterprise. The General Director of the Roscosmos State Corporation congratulated the workers on the successful launch of the Angara-A5 launch vehicle from the Plesetsk cosmodrome on December 14, 2020 , summed up the results of the outgoing year and discussed the prospects for the development of the Omsk branch of the GKNPTs im. M.V. Khrunichev.
