Special equipment and water cannons pulled up to Lukashenka’s residence

Security officials pulled special equipment to the working residence of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk in on the eve of the next protest action. This was reported on Sunday, December 20, by RIA Novosti .

According to the agency, several dozen paddy wagons, armored vehicles equipped with the “Rubezh” complex, cars with barbed wire and minibuses for transporting security forces are already parked on Saperov Street, located not far from the residence of the Belarusian leader. In addition, reinforced trains of traffic police and police officers are on duty.

As noted by the Tut.by portal, water cannons were also sent to the place of the proposed action.

In Belarus, for the fifth month, mass protests continue after the presidential elections on August 9, according to which Alexander Lukashenko, who ran for the sixth term, received 80 percent of the vote. Protest actions are harshly suppressed by the security forces. Thousands of people were detained, many of them told about torture and beatings in isolation wards. It is known about those killed by the protesters.
