In the US city of Boston, Massachusetts, they found a bottle with a mysterious note from the century before last. The Boston Globe newspaper reports about it.
An old empty bottle of rye whiskey was found inside the house behind the chimney for the fireplace. Inside the jar was a handwritten message dated September 23, 1894. The note mentioned the name Tom Ford and the mysterious phrase “Six on Shi” (6 on Shea).
Members of the local Boston Archeology Program have posted photos of the find with their group at Facebook . They gave the address of the building where they found the bottle with the note and asked netizens to decipher the strange message.
The find puzzled the commentators. “It looks like a bet or a record of a bet”, “Perhaps someone was hiding evidence of drunkenness and gambling”, “I think that in 1894, a certain Tom Ford lived at 6 Shea Street in Boston,” users wondered. As a result, no one was able to tell exactly what the note meant.
Local archaeologist Joe Bagley considered the bottle with the message to be a unique find. He hopes to unravel the meaning of the note and learn about the person who wrote it. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” the specialist admitted.
Earlier in the US state of New York, builders found under the famous house- museum time capsule with money from 1917. An old milk bottle containing two handwritten letters and coins was found during renovations.
