Lukashenka urged not to hope for 2021

The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko urged not to hope that 2021 will be good. He stated this at a meeting with the Governor of the Minsk Region Alexander Turchin, BelTA informs.

As reported by Turchin, for 11 months of this year the gross regional product of the region was fixed at 99.9 percent.

Lukashenka called such results good. “But, as an economist, you understand that we need a result, because we cannot hope that next year we will have a good one. You see what is happening around us. Therefore, we will assume that we did the impossible, but we had to just a little more, “the Belarusian leader noted.

Earlier, Lukashenka compared the coronavirus pandemic with a litmus test for political alliances. According to him, 2020 has become a real test for health systems and economies of all countries.

“The pandemic has convinced in practice even the most ardent skeptics that only together we can be stronger,” the President of Belarus said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
