European Union approved a new seven-year budget

The European Parliament finally approved a new seven-year budget European Union . This was reported by RIA Novosti .

“Parliament gave its permission on Wednesday for the next multi-year financial plan,” the EP said. Now the budget should be officially adopted by the Council of the European Union.

In November, Bloomberg reported that the EU authorities agreed on the parameters of the future general budget of the block. This makes it possible to implement the plan to rescue the European economy. It was noted that representatives of all 27 EU member states reached a preliminary agreement on the size of the long-term budget of the bloc. The negotiations took into account the project of a fund of 750 billion euros, designed to stimulate the European economy in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
