The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov opened a corruption case, they report “Ukrainian News”.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings on the fact of possible abuse by Avakov and the ex-head of the National Bank Valeria Gontareva related to the illegal seizure of 62 million euros on CityCommerce Bank accounts opened in the Austrian Meinl Bank Aktiengeselschaft.
The case is being investigated for abuse by CityCommerce Bank employees with the possible assistance of government officials.
