A resident of the US city of Dumfries, Virginia, bought 160 of the same lottery tickets and hit the jackpot. The UPI portal reports about it.
Kwame Cross purchased 160 identical tickets for the December 5 Pick 4 raffle. In the game, he used numbers that he saw on one of the television shows. “I noticed an address in the background on the program, and for some reason these numbers got into my head,” he recalls. “I had a premonition.”
Each ticket brought Kross 5 thousand dollars (about 366 thousand rubles). As a result, the winner became rich by 800 thousand dollars (58.5 million rubles).
“I thought it couldn’t be,” he says. “I had to park my car and double-check the results about 82 times. It seems unrealistic!” The American has not yet decided what to spend the prize money on.
Previously it was reported that a Canadian citizen mistakenly bought two lottery tickets from the same numbers and hit the double jackpot. Burke quit his job after receiving the prize.
