Meteorologist drove into a store and suddenly became rich by a million

A meteorologist working at a radio station in the US city of Des Moines, Iowa, unexpectedly hit the jackpot and could not receive a cash prize for several days. His story was published by UPI portal.

On Friday, December 4th, Jason Sydejko drove into a grocery store and bought several lottery tickets. Then he returned to the car and checked the results of the draw. One of the tickets enriched the American by 17 thousand dollars (1.2 million rubles).

“I ran to the store, handed them my tickets and shouted that I won,” Sydeiko recalls. The winner did not manage to cash out the winnings immediately, as he found out about the victory before the weekend, and the lottery headquarters was open only on weekdays. Because of this, he had to walk for two days with the winning ticket in his wallet.

Sydeiko admits that it was difficult for him to keep the news secret. With the money won, the winner plans to pay off the car loan and set aside the remaining amount to buy a house.

Earlier it was reported that a resident of the Irish County of Kerry forgot in her wallet for a week a lottery ticket that turned out to be winning. She was amazed when she found that she hit the jackpot.
