An honest man found jewelry worth 18 million and returned them to their owners

In the American County of Pinellas, Florida, an honest man found precious jewelry and returned them to their owners, reports ABC news site Action News.

On Saturday, December 5, Joe Fitzgerald and his wife Elif attended the annual Denim and Diamonds charity meeting and brought jewelry there. The spouses acted as sponsors. Joe claims that after the event, he loaded a bag of jewelry worth 250 thousand dollars (18.4 million rubles) into the trunk.

On the way, the tailgate opened, and the bag with all its contents fell onto the roadway. The couple didn’t notice the loss until Elif looked into her phone. On the screen of her cell, dozens of missed calls and messages were displayed, stating that their bag with jewelry was found.

“I am shocked that it was returned to us,” Elif admits. “There were valuable jewelry there. It is so nice to know that there are people like this man in the world.”

Joe emphasized that the stranger not only found a bag of jewelry, but also called the emergency service and made sure that the jewelry was returned. “He’s our Christmas angel,” says Joe. The couple are planning to meet this man and give him a monetary reward.

Earlier it was reported that in the US city of Chicago, Illinois, a man bought the house and found the hidden wealth of the past mistress in the living room. He found the owner and handed her an envelope containing 10 thousand dollars (almost 735 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate).
