Expert of the NAFI “Digital Citizen” platform Vladimir Gritsenko named those slowing down the smartphone applications in conversation with Prime agency.
According to him, only heavy programs can slow down modern smartphones and reduce their battery life. He advised not to use the built-in web browsers from the manufacturer, but to prefer Chrome, Firefox or Edge.
Gritsenko also noted that there is no need for a constantly running antivirus if all applications are installed only from official stores.
“Official clients of social networks – Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, can slow down on older devices,” the expert said. He recommended using light versions of these apps or using their mobile web versions.
In addition, system processes, such as background training of the assistant’s artificial intelligence, syncing photos or backing up the system, can also slow down the smartphone.
Previously, General Director of ANO Digital Platforms Arseny Shcheltsin named signs that the phone may soon fail. According to him, the smartphone can completely fail if the device is deformed, the battery does not hold a charge, the device heats up or the touch panel does not work correctly. The expert also pointed out that signs of the imminent “death” of a smartphone may be poor performance of the touch panel, speakers and microphone, loss of connection or incorrect operation of modules.
