Ukraine boasts of its method of combating coronavirus

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal boasted of his experience of weekend quarantine as a method fight against coronavirus, reports UNIAN .

Imposing restrictions on Saturday and Sunday for three weeks “was clear”, he said.

In the spring, Ukraine, like the whole world, was looking for options to combat the coronavirus, Shmyhal said. He called this period “the regime of finding effective measures”.

“Now here Latvia, it seems, from this week after us introduced a weekend quarantine. That is, they looked at how we are doing – and we call up with the prime ministers, share – and decided to do the same at home,” – said head of government.

Shmyhal called weekend quarantine a “Ukrainian product” that European countries are starting to use.

“It was not intended to reduce the level of the disease. Its task is to stabilize this level so that we can last until the end of December-early January, when we can introduce stricter quarantine restrictions without harming the economy,” he explained. p >
