Ukraine: citizens were called slaves because of IMF

Deputy Verkhovna Rada , co-chairman of the Opposition Platform – For Life party Vadim Rabinovich criticized the attitude International Monetary Fund (IMF) because of the attitude towards Ukrainians. He said this on the air of the NewsOne channel.

“The International Monetary Fund needs us like a cash cow: take the land, kill the industry,” the politician said, calling the citizens of the country “cheap developed slaves”.

Rabinovich pointed to unfair conditions for the provision of assistance to Kiev from international financial organizations. So, in his opinion, “the conquerors who killed the economy under the guise of aid came to the country.” According to the deputy, the IMF needs to be “kicked out of the country.”

Earlier, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) refused to allocate a tranche to Ukraine within emergency financial assistance programs. The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergey Marchenko said that Ukraine was given a clear answer that it needs to work within the framework of the current program and fulfill its conditions, and the Fund does not consider the issue of emergency assistance.

In June, the IMF approved a loan to Ukraine for a period of one and a half years. The provision of money was approved under the stand-by lending mechanism. The size of the support program for Ukraine is $ 5 billion.
