Zelensky criticized former presidents of Ukraine

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky , congratulating the residents of the country on the Day of the Armed Forces, criticized the previous government. In his Telegram channel, he accused the former heads of state of not paying enough attention to the Ukrainian army.

“So many of our defenders gave their lives for Ukraine to survive, that none of us now has the right to admit negligence, as before. When the leaders of the state were focused on anything but the Armed Forces,” Zelensky wrote.

According to him, the world and the ways of waging war are changing today, and much more attention needs to be paid to the country’s entire defense system and the attitude of society towards this task.

“Artificial intelligence, robotization, drones, new forms and methods of aggressive influence on countries and information warfare – all this makes threats in the future even more serious and requires us to even more active modernization,” the president believes.

In December, it became known that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine began to purchase weapons through NATO Support and Procurement Agency. The first consignment of goods purchased by the Ukrainian side included tracked belts for BMP-1 and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles.
