First country in Europe relaxes coronavirus-related restrictions

The first country in Europe – the Czech Republic – has weakened the restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus, reports Reuters .

The level of epidemiological threat was lowered to the third out of five. From December 3, museums, art galleries, restaurants, cafes, shops and commercial services will reopen. The authorities also allowed public events with up to 50 citizens on the streets and up to 10 people on the premises.

From Thursday, the ban on movement, which was in effect from 23:00 to 05:00, will also be lifted. It is assumed that the authorities decided to ease restrictions not only because of the improvement in the epidemiological situation, but also on the eve of Christmas and New Year. Perhaps the citizens wanted to provide a comfortable environment for the upcoming holidays.

According to the latest data, there are 533,000 coronavirus infected in the Czech Republic. 8.5 thousand people died from complications.
