German carmaker Daimler will give employees one thousand euros for working from home as compensation due to the coronavirus pandemic. As reported by Reuters , the firm seeks to compensate employees for personal and economic inconvenience.

It is planned that about 160 thousand Daimler employees in Germany will receive the bonus. “Because of the coronavirus, 2020 was a particularly difficult year. At this unusual time, the company could always count on the flexibility and readiness of our employees,” the company admitted.

At the end of November, Amazon announced the payment of premiums: the retailer is ready to work in December to pay employees bonuses totaling $ 500 million. It is specified that full-time employees will receive $ 300, and part-time employees – $ 150. Warehouse workers and courier drivers will receive bonuses, and as for freelance drivers, they will be given $ 100 each, but only on condition that they work at least 20 hours in December.
