A restaurant visitor bought a beer and left a tip of 228 thousand rubles

A visitor to a restaurant in the American city of Cleveland, Ohio, ordered a beer and left three thousand dollars (228 thousand rubles) as a tip, reports the Huffpost edition.

Nighttown restaurant owner Brendan Ring said on Facebook that on Sunday, November 22, before the establishment temporarily closed voluntarily due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus, a visitor came to them and ordered a beer. The bill for the drink was seven dollars (531 rubles).

The customer left a tip, wished Ring all the best and asked him to share the tip with the four employees on the floor. When the man came out, the restaurant owner counted the money and realized that the client had left three thousand dollars (228 thousand rubles).

“I ran after him. He said that there is no mistake, and he will come again when we open again,” Ring said.

The owner of the establishment noted that he decided not to publish the name of the benefactor, as he believes that the man would not want it. Ring stressed that he and his staff are grateful for this kind and generous gesture.

Earlier it was reported that the customer left a pizza delivery man from the American city of Roy, Utah, 12 thousand dollars (911.4 thousand rubles) tip. An 89-year-old man serves pizza 30 hours a week to earn extra money as his pension is not enough to pay the bills.
