The release of the distribution Ubuntu 24.04 “Noble Numbat” has taken place, classified as a long-term support (LTS) issue with updates planned for 12 years (5 years for the public, plus an additional 7 years for users of the Ubuntu Pro service). Installation images are available for Ubuntu Desktop, Lubuntu, Kubuntu, Ubuntu Mate, Ubuntu Budgie, Ubuntu Studio, Xubuntu, Ubuntu Kylin (for China), Ubuntu Unity, Edubuntu, and Ubuntu Cinnamon.
