Founder of Ice Bucket Challenge flash mob dies

Queen died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), diagnosed in 2013. “It is with deep sadness that we must report that Patrick died early this morning. He was in many ways a genuine gift of fate for all of us. We will remember him for his inspiring ability and courage in his relentless fight against ALS,” says in the message.

Queen became one of the inspirers of the Ice Bucket Challenge charity flashmob aimed at fighting this serious disease of the nervous system in 2014. By its terms, participants must oblitsya a bucket of ice water, transfer the money to the ALS Association Fund and pass the baton to another three participants. The flash mob has gained viral popularity.
