Ile-de-France reduces its aid to condominiums

The region rocks the system of aid for energy renovation to the tertiary sector.

The service that Ile-de-France Energies offered was invaluable for any condominium of more than 50 lots which wanted to launch energy renovation work. This mixed economy company (SEM), created in 2013 by the Region, offered a single aid, from audit, to site follow -up, including support that allowed you to find it in the Fatras des Aid. Loans even allowed the oldest to follow at a lower cost. At the end of the operation, consumption was, on average, divided by two.

In the past five years, some 4,000 homes in Ile-de-France have been renovated in depth thanks to this device. The subject becoming more significant, “the request exploded in 2021”, notes Raphaël Claustre, who was director of the company for six years, but will no longer be in a few days. He resigned since the supervisory board decided, on December 14, to give a completely different orientation to the SEM.

“a shame!”

“Ile-de-France Energies announces its rapprochement with Ile-de-France Investments and Territories and its desire to refocus its action on the buildings of the Tertiary”, specifies a press release. “It has been ten years since IDF Energies tried to find profitability, but it was not the case,” said Olivier Pagezy, the director of the SEM specializing in activity real estate, and now Chairman of the Management Board IDF Energies. “Despite the new standards, the time to convince the condominiums has not been reduced. In the tertiary sector, we will have to do to professional owners,” added the man who was also the director of the Cabinet of Valérie Pécresse, when The President of the Region was Minister of Higher Education.

“A shame !!! In the midst of an energy crisis, the region (…) cuts the means allocated to the energy renovation of housing”, reacted, on Twitter, Anne Bringault, coordinator to the Action Climate. “It’s dramatic for the climate, energy precariousness and life in the region,” said consultant Nicolas Goldberg. In Ile-de-France, the residential represents 39 % of energy consumption (29 % for the tertiary sector). In October, the Paris Region Institute warned that “without energy renovation work near one in two in two in two [will be] prohibited for rental”, the private rental park being particularly affected.

“Individuals will be helped by subsidies”, and banks, assures Olivier Pagezy. In Paris, information meetings on the co -ownership assistance system are not imposed. As part of its climate plan, the city aims to devote 200 million euros per year to private collectives within five to ten years. But, for the time being, it is one of the only ones to do so.
