Thales recognizes leakage of data, but denies hacking of his IT systems

The French defense and technological company Thales confirmed that the recent drain of its data by Lockbit 3.0 is not a fake, but it denies that its systems were hacked.

But the question of how exactly hackers could receive data from the company, without hacking its systems, remains open. Thales hinted to an answer in one of the statements, casually accusing a third -party contractor of her recent troubles.

“Our IB -specialists determined one of the two probable channels, with which the attackers stole a certain amount of information. They turned out to be an account of one of our partners on a special portal for collaboration,” the statement said.

Now Thales is working closely with its compromised partner to solve problems and convinces the media that everything is going well for now.

Thales is one of the international leaders in the field of high technology for the defense sector. Her staff is more than 81,000 employees around the world. The group invests in digital and DeepTech -innovations – big data, artificial intelligence, communication, cybersecurity and quantum technologies.
