Samsung Suffers Confidential Data Leak Due to ChatGPT Misuse
Foreign sources report that Samsung has suffered a leak of confidential information due to improper use of the ChatGPT chatboard. The incident occurred three weeks ago when employees of the South Korean technological giant started using a chatbot to get help with problem-solving. Unfortunately, the move led to an unintentional disclosure of important data.
The issue arose when one Samsung employee introduced the ChatGPT code and asked the AI to find a solution to the problem, without considering that this could lead to the transfer of information to the chatbot base. Other employees also tried to optimize the code in the same way, which only made the situation worse. The third leak happened when an employee requested the AI to develop a meeting protocol.
Upon discovering the information breach, Samsung took immediate measures to prevent a recurrence of such a situation. The company instructed its employees not to provide the chatbot with any confidential information or any data of critical importance, in response to this incident.
