NetworkManager 1.44.0 Debuts as Network Configurator

Available Stable interface release to simplify the setting of the network parameters – networkmanager 1.44.0

The main innovations NetworkManager 1.44:

  • The NMTUI interface is allowed to turn on and disconnect the Wi-Fi and Wwan modules.
  • Added a new Link settings section, which contains properties related to network link parameters, such as “TX-Queue-Length”, “GSO-MAX-SIZE”, “GSO-MAX-EGMENTS”, and “GROD-max-size”.
  • Added property “IPV6.dhcp-PD-Hint” to send a targeted prefix through DHCPV6.
  • For related interfaces, the options “Arp_missed_max”, “Lacp_active”, and “NS_IP6_TARGET”.
  • The properties of “Initial-Eps-Bearer-Configure” and “Initial-Eps-Bearer-AppN” are added to the GSM settings.
  • In NetworkManager.conf, the option “[keyfile].Rename” for compulsory renaming the disk profiles when changing the names related to them.
  • Declared outdated IFCFG-RH plugin. Added the “Main.migrate-fcfg-RH” option to automatically translate the existing IFCFG-RH compounds to Keyfile format.
  • The constant use of DNS settings from the section “[Global-DNS]”.
  • Implemented the number of repeated automatic attempts to connect for each device and connection.
  • For related devices and network bridges (Bond, Bridge, Team), IGNORE-CARRIER = NO.
  • IMDSV2 support for Amazon EC2 surroundings.
