Python, Pandas, and Meta: United by Lifelong Ban

Reuven, Python and Pandas Instructor Banned from Advertising on META

Renowned Python and Pandas instructor, Reuven, who conducts full-time courses for companies such as Apple and Cisco, has faced an unexpected setback in his advertising efforts on the META platform (formerly Facebook).

A few years ago, Reuven set out to promote his Facebook products. However, after a period of time, he was shocked to discover that his advertising account had been suspended by META for violating their advertising rules. In an effort to understand the situation, Reuven filed a complaint, only to receive a response stating that he had violated the company’s policy and was permanently banned from advertising on the META platform.

The reason behind the ban was truly unforeseen. META’s artificial intelligence system had mistakenly interpreted Reuven’s advertising materials and concluded that he was involved in the sale of live animals, a prohibited activity on the platform. In reality, Reuven’s offerings were focused on programming courses in Python and working with the Pandas library. Unfortunately, the AI system had incorrectly associated these terms with animal names.

Despite Reuven’s efforts, as well as those of his acquaintances working at META, to resolve the issue, his account remained suspended due to the company’s strict data storage policies. Frustrated by the situation, Reuven has made the decision to never again spend a single dime on advertising with META. On the other hand, he noted that companies like Google still manage to attract advertisers, at least to some extent.
