TikTok Faces EU Blocking Over Israel Situation

European Commissioner Orders TikTok to Combat Misinformation in 24 Hours

The European Commissioner for Industry, Thierry Breton, has given TikTok a 24-hour ultimatum to provide detailed information about the measures they have taken to combat misinformation on their platform following the conflict in Israel.

In a letter addressed to the CEO of TikTok, Zhu Zh Zh, which was published by Reuters, Breton expressed his concerns and demanded immediate action. This comes after Breton issued similar letters to Elon Musk, the owner of the company.

TikTok is a popular platform where users can post public messages and engage with other users. It has a significant global audience and ranks among the top 10 most visited sites.

However, it is important to note that TikTok is currently banned in the territory of the Russian Federation due to repeated violations of legislation.
