PSG defender Achraf Hakimi indicted for rape and “supported” by his club

The 24-year-old Moroccan international is accused by a young woman, who claims to have been attacked on February 25, at the player’s home, in the Hauts-de-Seine. The sportsman’s lawyer considers that her client is the subject of a “racketeering attempt”.

Paris-Saint-Germain (PSG) never ceases to occupy legal news. The Moroccan defender and international, Achraf Hakimi, was indicted for rape and placed under judicial supervision, as confirmed to AFP and then in the world, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office on Friday, March 3. The 24 -year -old footballer, friend of the star Kylian Mbappé, was targeted, as Le Parisien revealed, since February 27 by a preliminary investigation because of the accusations brought against him by a young woman of 24 years.

The latter, who did not file a complaint, presented himself to the police station of Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) to bring back facts of rape that she would have suffered from Mr. Hakimi, the February 25, at the player’s home, in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine). This young woman would have forged links with the Parisian defender in January on the Instagram social network.

She would have gone to Mr. Hakimi and reportedly told the police that the Moroccan international would have engaged in touching before raping her. The young woman would have pushed the player before contacting a friend, who came to get her.

The announcement of the indictment of Mr. Hakimi intervened while the player trained at the Loges camp in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines). Heard Thursday, March 2, by investigators from the Hauts-de-Seine territorial security, the lateral rear has a ban on contacting the alleged victim but will be able to leave the national territory. The Parisian coach, Christophe Galtier, who refused to discuss this “extra-sporting question” on Friday at a press conference, could therefore retain the player during the trip to Bavaria, on March 8, for the round of 16 Champions League against Bayern Munich.

In the wake of the club press release, “in support of the player”, Mr. Hakimi’s lawyer, M e Fanny Colin, reminded the world that his client “firmly denied the accusations brought against him “, the day before, during his hearing by the investigators,” carried out at his express request “.
