December 21, 2022, the State Duma adopted a law prohibiting the forced collection of biometric data and discrimination of people who refuse such a fee. The law establishes the voluntary status of biometry, and for minors the consent of parents is mandatory. The refusal to surrender biometrics can be issued in writing through any branch of the MFC. Citizens who do not want to provide biometric data will not be able to refuse to provide state and municipal services, any discrimination or refusal to provide services for this reason will be punished.
In addition, at any time you can withdraw this consent to the processing of biometric data. For minor children, their parents or guardians can do this.
