Two residents of St. Petersburg were convicted of hacking social networks

In St. Petersburg, two men were convicted under the article “Illegal Access to Computer Information”. According to the investigation, Roman I. and Artem L. hacked the account of R. working at the St. Petersburg Theological Academy and corresponded on his behalf, creating a “series of screenshots of the correspondence of this account, copying the information protected by law”, communicates the combined press service of the courts.

Later, screenshots of correspondence appeared on social networks, which, according to the employee of the Academy, contain slander and compromise the rector of the educational institution – the report said.

The Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg announced the verdict against the defendants, they did not deny their guilt, provided assistance in the investigation, indicating all those involved in criminal activity and received two years conditionally.
