Pine64 Halts Linux Device Production

The Pine64 project, known for creating open-source devices, has announced a temporary suspension of production for their Linux devices. This decision comes as a result of shortages in DRAM memory and eMMC drives, essential components for these devices. The project has stated that the possibility of resuming production will be evaluated in the second half of next year, pending an assessment of DRAM and eMMC prices.

Currently, stocks of PineNote and PineTab2 devices, already produced by Pine64, are expected to last for approximately 3 months before running out. However, production of microcontroller-based devices such as PineTime, PineVoice, and Pinecil will continue unaffected by the suspension.
