USA DECLARES WAR ON IRANIAN HACKERS

The US Department of Finance announced the introduction of sanctions against four citizens of Iran and two companies for participating in cyberattacks on American government institutions, defense contractors, and private companies.

According to the announcement, the sanctions were imposed on two defense companies – Mehrsam andisheh SAZ NIK (MASN) and Dadeh Afzar Arman (DAA) – which were acting in the interests of the Cybercoming of the Islamic Revolution Guardians (IRGC-SEC).

Alice Shafi Nasab and cutting Kazemiifar Rahman, who were working on Masn, were responsible for carrying out attacks on American organizations. Kazemiifar also participated in phishing attacks on the US Treasury. Khosein Mohammad Haruni, another authorized Iranian individual, attacked the Ministry of Finance and other American institutions using social engineering techniques.

Komeil Baradaran Salmani was associated with attacks coordinated through Masn, DAA, and other defense companies IRGC-CEC. As a result of these sanctions, all assets and interests of these persons and organizations in the United States are now frozen, and any transactions involving their assets require permission from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

The US State Department also announced its support for these sanctions.
