In an effort to update the branding elements of the Kubuntu distribution, a competition was held among graphic designers to create a new and modern design that reflects the Kubuntu specifics and is well-received by both new and existing users. The aim was for the design to seamlessly blend with the styles of KDE and Ubuntu.
The competition resulted in the selection of a new project logo, desktop screensavers, color palette, and fonts, which will be featured in the upcoming release of Kubuntu 24.04. Vector files of the new logo in various formats have been made available to the public for viewing and use.
