Google Introduces Second Preview of Android 15
Google introduced the second test version of the open mobile platform Android 15. The release of Android 15 is expected in the third quarter of 2024. To evaluate the new features of the platform, a program for preliminary testing is proposed. Firmware assemblies are prepared for devices Pixel 6/6a Pro, Pixel 7/7a/7 Pro, Pixel 8/8a/8 Pro, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet.
Changes to Android 15 Developer Preview 2
- The possibilities of working through satellite communication channels have been expanded. Added new elements of the interface to unify the use of satellite communication. Applications are given the opportunity to determine the use of a satellite channel using the method secusingNonterrere Strimialnetwork(). In the interface to work with SMS/MMS implemented support for sending and receiving messages through satellite channels.
- Work has been carried out to simplify the use of a phone with NFC support for payment of goods with one touch. Applications are given the possibility of transferring NFC adapter to observation mode, under which the device accepts requests according to NFC and sends for processing a given process, but does not respond and does not betray data to the NFC-sisers.
