New Round in History of Bitcoin: Secrets of Satoshi

The news of the mysterious creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, has sparked a wide discussion after receiving almost 26 bitcoins worth more than $1 million, over 10 years after their disappearance. The transaction on Nakamoto’s wallet, known as Genesis and the first in the history of the Bitcoin network, has fueled speculation that the creator may have “awoken”.

Konor Skogan, the director of Bitcoin and Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange, has suggested that either Satoshi “awakened” and bought 27 bitcoins via Binance, transferring them to their wallet, or that someone has simply “burned” a million dollars. Skogan has also speculated that this transaction could be part of “some strange ETF marketing campaign” given Wall Street’s interest in the long-awaited Bitcoin ETF.

The recent transaction has increased the value of bitcoins in the Genesis wallet, which originally held 50 bitcoins created from the first Bitcoin block, to nearly 100 bitcoins, valued at around $4 million. The identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, who vanished at the end of 2010 after publishing the technical document on Bitcoin in 2008, has been the subject of intense debate and conjecture, with various programmers and developers being associated with the name.

If Satoshi Nakamoto is indeed still alive – it remains uncertain whether this is an individual or a group – it is speculated that they control over 1 million bitcoins, currently valued at nearly $50 billion. This would place Nakamoto among the top 25 richest individuals in the world, according to Forbes.
