Massive strike at RATP Friday, traffic will be interrupted on 8 metro lines

The circulation of the Paris metro will be strongly disturbed, Friday, February 18, due to a strike movement of the employees of the RATP related to the wages, with eight closed metro lines and six other partially open only at peak hours.

The traffic will be interrupted all day on lines 2, 3bis, 5, 7bis, 8, 10, 11 and 12, warned the public company in its traffic forecasts published on Wednesday. Lines 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 13 will only be open for peak hours (6:30-9:30 / 16:30-19:30) with a traffic ranging from 1 to 2 to 1 train out of 4. Only lines 1 and 14 will normally roll but the RATP advises travelers to postpone their displacements because of “saturation risks”.

Traffic will also be very disturbed on RSP lines A and B: on RER A, one on two train will circulate at peak times and one in three train at hollow hours. The interconnection will be maintained in Nanterre-Prefecture. On RER B, 1 train out of 2 at rush hour and
