German Chancellor reacted to data on tracking of special services behind it

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reacted to archival data on the surveillance of the GDR special services in the 1980s. Reports about it BILD.

According to politics, he was aware of the observation. “Of course, I know that I was spying too. This is not good, but it is,” said Chancellor FRG.

Previously, the BILD newspaper, with reference to the documents of the Federal Archives of the Federal Republic of Germany, said that in the 1980s, during a visit to the GDR Scholl, the local special services were followed, and some surveillance reports were sent to the KGB of the USSR. The employee of the archive of Daniel Muskel explained, the USSR was actively interested in the political situation and the arrangement of forces in the Federal Republic of Germany, therefore the transmission of exploration reports to Moscow was not rare. The publication also reports that many of the ISR foreign intelligence documents could be preserved in the Archives of the KGB.
