Russia needs to reach safety agreement in Europe primarily with the United States, the participation of other countries in the negotiations will be counterproductive. This was stated by the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov, reports TASS.
“I will not hide that we would prefer to find mutual understanding and agree, first of all with the Americans. Involvement of a too wide range of countries in this process, it seems to us counterproductive,” said Ryabkov during the speech at the Valdai Club site.
In addition, Ryabkov announced that the American side is ready for a bilateral basis to work with the Russian Federation on the preservation of strategic stability and improving arms control.
