US refused to give money to Taliban

The US Administration believes that direct financing of the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization prohibited in Russia) does not meet the interests of the Afghan people. On the refusal of the states to give money Taliban stated the US President’s Assistant on National Security Jake Sullivan in an interview with Foreign Policy.

According to him, Washington intends to transfer assistance to Afghanistan through independent persons and organizations that will be able to turn them into significant food supplies, drugs and first aid items for Afghans. Sullivan stressed that the United States does not believe in a simple discharge of card-blanked Taliban, as they did not take measures to form an inclusive government.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken promised that the State Department would consider all the filling in the economy of Afghanistan liquidity. He explained that Washington actively studies the ways to “fill the pockets of Afghans with money” and have already defused 280 million dollars of Afghan assets, which went to pay humanitarian aid.
