Russian ambassador stated that they didn’t have right to judge Saddam Hussein USA

Ex-Ambassador of Russia in Iraq (2002-2003) Vladimir Titorienko said that the Transitional Government of Iraq, formed by the United States, had no right to judge the former Iraqi president of Saddam Hussein. He stated in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“Transitional government was not a government chosen by the Iraqi people. It was formed by the Americans, and it did not have any rights to conduct a court of Saddam Hussein,” said Titorienko.

The Russian diplomat added that the special tribunal had no authority to judge Hussein, since he was the president, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and made decisions based on the existing legislation. He called unlaysly charges associated with war with Iran and the use of chemical weapons. “There is no evidence that Saddam applied this chemical weapon,” concluded a former ambassador.

Previously, the former Iraqi translator, who collaborated with the Americans, anonymously revealed the details of the detention of Saddam Hussein. According to him, he was located with the US military who carried out the operation. Hussein’s location was determined as a result of surveillance for his guard, who missed the “best products of certain brands” markets. He was on a farm, in the El Maabar area.

Saddam Hussein dictator was executed on December 30, 2006. He was arrested as a result of the invasion of American troops in Iraq, which was held under the pretext of finding weapons of mass lesion, the presence of which in the country was not confirmed. However, the prosecution was able to prove the guilt of Hussein in the murders of the Iraqi population.
