Gazprom predicted a decline in gas prices in world

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Famil Sadigov made a forecast for gas prices in the coming years. In 2022-2024, its value in the world will cease to beat new records, and, on the contrary, it will decline, he told in an interview with the corporate publication of the organization, RIA Novosti reports.

“By now we have a consensus forecast made by many analysts: in 2022-2024, gas prices in world markets will gradually decline from current record marks, but will remain much higher in comparison with docking levels,” said Sadigov.

He noted that the financial indicators of the Gazprom group in any case will have to remain at a high level, even with sufficiently moderate current export prices for fuel.

previously became known that the cost of gas in Europe increased to $ 2150 per thousand cubic meters and broke the next record. At the time of publication, the January futures delivery to the Netherlands Hub TTF cost $ 250 per thousand cubic meters. Thus, the price of gas in Europe per day has already increased by more than 27 percent.
