Under the pressure of the fifth wave of COVID-19, the Regional Health Agencies (ARS) of Ile-de-France, Occitania, the Loire and Burgundy-Franche-Comté countries announced, Wednesday, December 8, the trip from the white plan in all their hospitals.

After Corsica last week and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region Tuesday, six metropolitan areas have reactivated the white plan, which makes it possible to deprogram operations and reallocate staff to critical care services.

The Ars of Ile-de-France has justified this decision by “the tension [which] has been accentuated for several days”, the establishments of the region counting Wednesday 2,608 patients from the hospitalized Covid-19, of which 505 critical care.

In anticipation of a “progressive rise” and at the approach of the Christmas holidays, “The White Plan must allow institutions to organize themselves in such a way to [if] ensure that the caregivers can” benefit from Their end-of-year leave, “adds the Francilienne agency, which also reactivated its” HR reinforcement cell “.

Other regions have already chosen to reduce hospital activity to redeploy their human resources. The Loire ERA has asked its public and private institutions “20% deprogramming of medicine and surgery (…) by preserving urgent interventions”.

Call. to all voluntary health professionals

In Occitania, the ARS mentioned the possibility of “gradually deprograming some less priority operations”, without setting an objective at this stage. CVIV-19 patients currently fulfill a third of the 560 resuscitation beds of the region, including “occupancy rate reaches 92%”, all patients combined, “and even 100% in several departments”.

Same phenomenon in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, where “more than 600” CVIV-19 patients are hospitalized to date, “including 100 critical care,” said the ARS, warning that some activities could “be led to be deprogrammed “.

In the Hauts-de-France, the ARS has activated the white plan in several territories – Métropole Lille, Hainaut and Oise – and asked all the establishments of the region to open “114 critical care beds and 260 “additional” medicine beds on the horizon of mid-December “to” anticipate any saturation risk at the end of the year “.

Tuesday, the Ars of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur had launched “a call to all voluntary health professionals (students, retirees, liberals, employees) of the region to support the teams Caregivers in the hospital “.

In the other regions, without waiting for the instruction of the ARS, many institutions have triggered their white plans, such as Chu de Bordeaux, Lyon, Rennes and Strasbourg.
