In Netherlands condemned violence during protests against Lokdaun

The Netherlands Police will attract all those who stood on the riots during the protests against Lokdaun, who embraced a number of Dutch cities last weekend. The Acting Prime Minister of the country, Mark Rutte, condemned pogroms and violence on demonstrations due to coronavirus restrictions, reports TASS.

According to politics, the right to the demonstration is fundamental, especially when there is a tension in society due to a continuing pandemic. “But I will never agree that idiots use pure violence against people who are on guard every day for the protection of the country,” he stressed.

Rutta called the past shares with pure violence, not having anything to do with demonstrations. He promised that law enforcement officers would do everything possible to find people responsible for chaos and looting, including “For those people who want to peacefully express their discontent during the demonstrations.”

Protests in the country began after Rutte announced the tightening of restrictive measures due to the deterioration of the situation with coronavirus. From November 13 to December 4, Lockanun introduced in the country and reduced hours of shopping, restaurants and entertainment vents.

During the riots, about 130 people were detained, many of whom minors. In Groningen, the demonstrators broke the store’s showcase, stole bicycles from there and damaged the bus stop. Cases of vandalism, arson and illegal launch of fireworks were registered throughout the country. In a number of regions, an emergency was announced.

Several people were injured due to the warning shots of the police, which sounded during the acceleration of protesters in Rotterdam. According to local media, at least two people were injured.
