Telegram-channel “Svetlana Tikhanovskaya”, which is conducted by a team of a former presidential candidate of Belarus, recognized as extremist material. This decision was made by the Central District of Minsk based on the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption (Gubov) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Subscribe to Telegram-channels and chats recognized by extremist, entails responsibility,” – warned in the department.
Previously, it became known that the authorities of Belarus intend to prosecute to the criminal liability of subscribers of telegram channels recognized as “extremist”. Such a classification has recently received many opposition channels that actively covered protests in the country after the presidential election a year ago.
