According to McFall, when he was only put forward in Russia, Burns immediately told him that it would be the best work in his life. He noted that, indeed, it was. An American diplomat also called the work in Moscow “fantastic.” It is noted that McFall held an ambassador in Russia from 2012 to 2014.

Earlier, Burns admitted that he became gray-haired because of Russia. According to him, most of his gray hair appeared due to the fact that he was engaged in Russia. He warned that “the United States should not underestimate the threat that comes from Russia and President Vladimir Putin.”
