Premier Poland accused Gazprom in rise in gas prices

Poland’s Prime Minister Mateush Morrazetsky accused the Russian company Gazprom and the Russian authorities in blackmail, because of which it was supposedly an increase in gas prices. Such a statement quotes TASS.

“The most important question in today’s summit will be the question of sharply growing energy prices … This is an economic, gas stallion policy, which is conducted by Gazprom and Russia,” said politician.

MOREVETSKY added that the rise in prices can significantly reduce economic growth in Europe, and it is dangerous both for ordinary people and for entrepreneurs.

The Polish side has previously argued that the growing cost of gas is due to geopolitical considerations. According to Warsaw, Moscow intentionally limits the supply to achieve permission to operate the North Stream-2 gas pipeline. The Russian side, in turn, insists that the project is exclusively commercial and rejects theses about the use of energy as a weapon.
