Lukashenko appointed new deputy head of Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs (Ministry of Internal Affairs) of Belarus was appointed Dmitry Korzyuk, who held the post of chief of the General Directorate of the State Automotive Inspection. The appropriate decree signed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, transfers BelTA.

Before him, the post-head post of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held the current Minister of Justice Sergey Khomenko.

Earlier, Lukashenko during the personnel appointment meeting in the State Security Committee (KGB) stated that the “next attempt of the revolution” in Belarus will take place during the referendum on the new version of the Constitution.

According to him, the situation in the country remains tense, since the West still seeks to change the power and destroy the independence of the republic. For this, the Belarusian leader emphasized, Western countries introduce sanctions, finance opposition, terrorism and extremism, and also conduct special preparation of militants.

In this regard, he called for security forces to carefully monitor the situation within the country and the sentiments of people to prevent mass protests. The referendum on the updated Constitution of Belarus is scheduled for the end of February 2022.
