Scout Drones for the first time in Russia applied from the ship. Sailors of the Caspian flotilla used drones on the teachings to control the lifting missiles “Calibr” in the target. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the Southern Military District (Yuvo).
Representatives of the SMVI noted that the crew of the Veliky Ustyug ship performed the shooting missiles of the “Calibr” complex. Visual control of the defeat of the goals was first carried out with the help of drone – the devices “Orlan-10” and “Eleon-3”, which were launched from the rocket ship “Dagestan”.
In Yuvo, emphasized that the use of drones on marine platforms is associated with difficulties. The pitching and limited sizes of the ship’s deck complicate the landing of the drone, and the flight of the drone passes with strong gusts of the wind. In addition, the use of drones over aquatic space increases requirements for communication systems with drone and navigation.
Earlier on the TV channel “Star” told about the development of a flat nozzle for drone “Hunter”. The new item will reduce the remarks of the apparatus and increases protection against rockets with infrared and radar heads of homing.
