Russia will increase unemployment benefits

Russia will increase unemployment benefits in 2022. According to Interfax, with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Society, the amount of maximum assistance to the unemployed citizens will be equal to the minimum wage (minimum wage) established for 2021, and will be 12,792 rubles.

“for comparison: the size of the maximum unemployment benefit in 2021 is 12,130 rubles, which corresponds to the minimum wage 2020,” said the press service.

The conditions for obtaining benefits will not change: after registering a citizen as an unemployed, the first three months will be charged the amount of 75 percent of earnings, but not more than 12,729 rubles. In the next three months, the amount of assistance will be 60 percent of earnings, but not more than five thousand rubles. The minimum amount of the benefit will remain at the level of 2021 and will be one and a half thousand rubles.

In September, it became known that the unemployed Russians would also support material payments during the passage of retraining. If a citizen was sent by employment services to retraining courses, he will retain the payment of unemployment benefits. Previously, financial support measures during the retraining were not provided.
