Finnish President warned Europe from unleashing “large-scale conflict”

President of Finland Sauli Niinist urged Europe to change politics towards Russia and start working with Moscow, with such an idea, he performed at the seminar dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the State Foreign Policy Institute, writes Verkkouutiset.fi.

The Finnish Leader reminded that in relations between European countries and Russia there is a tendency to distrust and mutual accusations. “Despite this, I urge you to look at the situation wider,” the politician noted and called on to act for peace in the region. According to Niist, cooperation with Moscow is one of the security pillars. He clarified that sustainable relationships cannot be built only on military force. “Otherwise, we, without noticing this, we can enter a more large-scale conflict, which we have now,” he warned against the unleashing war.

Head of State led to the example of the relationship of Helsinki and Moscow, and also offered to distribute positive experience for the whole of Europe.

Earlier it became known that Finland conceived to build the railway to St. Petersburg. With the launch of the new highway, the passengers will be able to get to Helsinki from the Russian city for half an hour faster than now.
