More than 1,800 employees of the Red Cross Committee (ICRC) continue to work in Afghanistan after the change of power. This was told by the head of the regional delegation of the ICRC igtsyar aslanov in an interview with TASS.

According to Aslanov, the ICRC staff in Afghan territory are not found with the obstacles to their work on the part of the Taliban (Taliban, prohibited in the Russian Federation). “Between us and the” Taliban “there is an understanding about access to places where people need help,” the head of the ICRC delegation said.

According to Aslanov, now the humanitarian activities of the ICRC in Afghanistan significantly expanded, his colleagues have access throughout the country. At the same time, many local residents are deprived of housing or need immediate medical care. The poet of the ICRC actively cooperates with hospitals in remote settlements of Afghanistan, providing them with medicines and medical equipment.
