China’s authorities demanded that celebrities stop “worshiping money”

The Chinese authorities ordered celebrities to ensure compliance with moral norms both in private and public life. Reports about it The Guardian.

High-ranking officials of the Communist Party at a meeting in Beijing outlined new rules for the behavior of stars. Government officials were advised by the participants of the entertainment industry “to oppose the decadent ideas of the worship of money, hedonism and extreme individualism.”

As they say the authorities, participants in the Symposium “Love the Party, love the country, defend morals and art” must convince Chinese regulators that “deliberately refuse vulgar and low kitche flavors.”

Earlier, the Chinese Communist Party leader Si Jinping called to put an end to women-like male and another abnormal aesthetics on television. Instead of popular young people, the Chinese authorities called on the programs “vigorously promote excellent Chinese traditional culture, revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture.”
