On the morning of September 18, 2021 in the Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yuri Gagarina held ceremonial wires primary and backup crews 66th mission to the International Space Station. In the main crew: Roscosmos cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov and spaceflight participant – filmmaker Klim Shipenko and actress Julia Peresild. Their doubles began cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev, Alexei Dudin cinematographer and actress Alena Mordovina.
A few hours later they arrived to Baikonur to complete the prelaunch. Today crews will has been briefed on the work of the transport manned spacecraft “Soyuz MS-19”, as well as verification of communication during its fitting. After which the astronauts prepare belongings for laying on board the “Union”.
Over the next two weeks, primary and backup crews will perform rich training program, training and coaching, as well as medical examinations. So, September 19, 2021, they will hold the first “fitting” in the “Soyuz-19 MS.” They will work in the field of action mechanism, become familiar with the on-board documentation and perform a series of tests on-board systems.
